Maybe the most recognized fighter of WW-II the P-51 Mustang was the pinnacle of American fighter development during the war. Designed, built and airborne in just 117 days the Mustang flew as a fighter-bomber in the RAF before conversion to a bomber escort. It continued service into the Korean War and was still seen in some counties Air Forces until the early 1980’s. Also a favorite for conversion for high speed battle in the famed Reno Air races. This fully painted model depicts this stylish and forever classic fighter in all its glory. The model comes complete with a thermoformed polystyrene coated main wing complete with built in ABS spar and accurate panel lines. The fuselage is EPS foam with accurate shaping and fully panel lined. Tail feathers are also thermoformed EPS sheet. Model comes complete with all hardware including, pushrods, micro control horns, speed 130 motor, injection molded canopy, 2 propellers-with spinner, a water slide decal sheet and clear instructions.
