Questions and Answers commonly asked.

  • Q. How do you get the skydiver up in the air?
  • A. Just as in full scale skydiving, we use an R/C Airplane or Drone to take them to jump altitude.
  • Q. How high do we drop them from?
  • A. Minimum would be 300 feet (very short flight). A typical drop altitude for the Micro Skydiver is 900 feet. Typical jump altitude for the Hangtime Ultimate is 1200 feet.
  • Q. How big of an airplane do you need to drop them from?
  • A. For the Micro Skydiver a high lift, 1.5m airplane is plenty big enough. If it can carry 10 oz. you are good. For the Hangtime Ultimate you will want something 2m and bigger. You can use Carbon Cub 1.3m or Timber 1.2m for Micro's, and CZ Cub 2.1M or 30cc Ultra Stick for Hangtime's, anything with a high lift wing and slightly overpowered should work. Of course, the bigger and more power the faster you get to jump altitude.
  • Q. Are they hard to fly?
  • A. Skydivers are very easy to fly, the need for skill starts on the ground. Just as in full scale skydiving, packing the chute is most important. You must follow the instructions we give you in packing the chute and getting him ready to jump.
  • Q. How big, tall, what are they made of, their weight question?
  • A. All specs are listed by each of our skydivers on the webpage.
  • Q. What do I need to skydive?
  • A. You will need a drop platform setup to drop the skydiver. (airplane or drone) You will need a skydiver that fits your drop platform. You will need a friend to fly the drop platform. (this can be done with one person with a drone and some experience) With an airplane this is a must to have two people. Patience!
